Summary​

Cities: Skylines (Steam) - Cannot select different bus types

Expected Result​

Normally I should click on the bus icon and "Select Vehicle" menu should pop up allowing me to choose from different vehicle models for the bus line.

Actual Result​

I click on the bus icon in the line menu and no "Select Vehicle" menu appears.

Steps to reproduce​

Step 1: Run the game with Green Cities DLC
Step 2: Click on the bus icon and expect the "Select Vehicle" menu appear
Step 3: "Select Vehicle" menu won't appear

Description​

This issua affects only buses for me, trying to change vehicles for other transportation types works normally

I have already tried restarting the game, restarting the system, try out on new map, verifying the flies on steam, reinstalling the game completely.
Nothing have solved the issue so far...

Problem seems to occure whenever "Green Cities" DLC is active.

Was also going to report this issue, but I might as well attach my save here. Also on steam, also on version 1.17.0-f3
I use all Major DLC except for Airports, Concerts, and Natural Disasters, also missing a number of CCPs and radio stations.

As with the user above, disabling Green Cities resolves the problem.

I'm not able to reproduce this issue. Please try verifying the game files through Steam and adding the launch options -noWorkshop and -disableMods when testing and let me know if you're still having the issue then.

How To Set Launch Options
  • Right-click on the game title under the Library in Steam and select Properties.
  • Enter the launch options you wish to apply in the box (be sure to separate each code with a space). Should look like this:
    Code: 
    -noWorkshop -disableMods
  • Close the game's Properties window and launch the game.

I already took those steps before making the save I attached (in fact I did so before even starting that game).

Did these steps and started a quick test city (apart from -disableMods because I unlocked all milestones for the test) and I'm still experiencing the issue.

Hello, and thank you for the reply.
I appreciate the help but as it stated in the description above, I have already tried to verify the game files (multiple times by now in fact).
I also reported the bug while running the game without any mods (again stated above in the "I have disabled all the mods")

But I have tried again, this time with the launch options as well just in case and again to no avail.

Problems still persist whenever I run the game with "green cities" DLC (also stated above)
I was able to switch the model when running the game without it, but whenever I activate it again, this feature breaks again.

EDIT:
I have also tried to run the game with just Green Cities only to see if the DLC's clashing with some other content. Problem is still there even when Green Cities is the only DLC active.

As I have commented in one of my replies, this issue occurs when "Green Cities" is active. Even running the game with just green cities active is causing the problems in my case.
 
Great, thank you! I'm now able to reproduce it and also found the reason why I couldn't the first time. I'll let you know if we need anything else. :)

I dont have much to add, just that i encountered the same problem. Completly vanilla, just DLCs, across both old saves and new games, cant pick a bus for a line(whats interesting is that theres no problem in any other mode of transport)

I have the same problem. It started yesterday after I have added „Hotels and Retreats“, „Railroads of Japan“, „Brooklyn and Queens“, „Industrial Evolution“ and „Campus“. And I use no Mods. I have even deleted those few bus, tram and train vehicles that I have had from the Workshop. I even started a new city. I cannot select another bus after having finished a line. And I also have Park Life, Green Cities, Sunset Harbour, After Dark, Mass Transit and Snowfall. Never had issues until yesterday.

Just wanted to add that I'm also occuring this problem (the issue of not being able to choose between different types of bio buses and normal buses + I've noticed the same for emergency services [police cars, fire trucks, ambulances]
Removed all the mods and objects I've had before, still doesn't work.

DLCs I've own and use:

*Airports
*Plazas & Promenades
*Snowfall
*Green Cities
*Mass Transit

*Sunset Harbor

The rest works, can freely choose between different types of Trolleybuses, Trams, Trains, Metro, Ferries, Taxis and Park Service Vehicles.

Played just like the rest on 1.17.0-f3
 
I am experiencing the same issue. Unable to change buses in any saved games, with or without mods.

If more numbers can help, I am also seeing this issue and cannot change bus types. Other types of transit can be changed. I also have Green Cities, and many more DLCs.
