Describe your issue
Crash immediately upon launch from Paradox Launcher (Steam & macOS)

What is your game version?
1.16.1-f2

What expansions do you have installed?

What mods are you using?
None (and disabled)

Please explain your issue is in as much detail as possible.
Cities Skylines immediately crashes on launch from the Paradox Launcher. Error message is "The game appears to have crashed or terminated unexpectedly (exit code null). The issue may be solved by verifying the integrity of your game files and deactivating any mods..."

This occurs both with and without mods (I've tried with the "-noWorkshop - disableMods" option set in Steam). When I last played ~February it was launching and running just fine on this computer.

Can you replicate the issue? If yes, please explain how you did it.
Yes.

Open the Paradox Launcher from Steam, then click "PLAY" in the launcher. Cities Skylines opens fullscreen, then immediately crashes back to the Launcher.

As te launcher attempts to run the game, it seems unlikely this is a launcher issue, so I'm afraid those launcher logs you attached won't help us diagnose your problem! There are no significant errors or problems in them.


Please attach this log file here:
~/Library/Logs/Unity/Player.log

To find that file, in Finder do cmd-shift-G to bring up the GOTO box. In there paste ~/Library/ . You will see a /Logs/ folder, and inside that /Unity/ folder. Please attach that file player.log here by dropping it on this support ticket, or use the "Attach file" link here.
 
That log ends really early, I'm honestly not sure what could cause that. The next step in my log is:
[S_API] SteamAPI_Init(): Loaded '/Users/{UserName}/Library/Application Support/Steam/Steam.AppBundle/Steam/Contents/MacOS/steamclient.dylib' OK.

so it may be something to do with Steam. When did the game last work for you?


Please try a **clean** reinstall:

- Remove the game from Steam (uninstall)
- Manually delete all these files and folders, if still there:

~/Library/Application Support/Steam/SteamApps/common/Cities Skylines/
~/Library/Application Support/Steam/userdata/<SteamID>/255710/
~/Library/Application Support/Steam/SteamApps/workshop/content/255710/
~/Library/Application Support/Colossal Order/Cities Skylines/
(first move the /saves/ folder elsewhere to keep your save games)

- Install the game again and see if it runs now.

If it does not we should do a clean Steam reinstall
