Describe your issue
Error keeps popping up after loading

What is your game version?
1.16.1-f2

What expansions do you have installed?
After Dark, Snowfall, Mass Transit, Green Cities, Parklife, Industries, Campus, Sunset Harbor, Airports

What mods are you using?
Unsubscribed all currently

Please explain your issue is in as much detail as possible.
The following error message keeps popping up after loading:
Object reference not set to an instance of an object
[System.NullReferenceException]

I've tried to determine the root of the error with the NullReferenceCatcher and some other mods but without result and I'm not well-versed with decoding log files. I hope one of you will be able to trace down its origin and find a solution.

Can you replicate the issue? If yes, please explain how you did it.

If you unsubscribed everything, then the game likely won't load from the missing stuff you unsubscribed.

Some workshop needs subscribed in order for the game to load.

EDIT:

Yes, something is off in your city. That water pipes are mal functioning and not getting water/sewage when you have plenty available.

I keep getting an object reference error. It spams continuously about every 3-seconds.

I don't know if mods are missing still? there are only a few installed.

Do you have a more recent old saved game that you can share, with old workshop still subscribed?

EDIT2:

I first unsubscribed all mods and the issue continued,

I then unsubscrubed all assets. The promlem continued.

but unsubscribing all assets made the vehicles randomly go backwards quickly, then speed back ahead again to its normal position. It did this randomly.

I think your only hope is an older saved game. I think this one may be corrupt.

Okay, I finally went to the workshop to search for Transfer Manager, and sure enough there are a couple of them. One was updated for Hubs and Transport and I subscribed to only that mod and it loaded just fine, I hit the spacebar to start the simulation and BAM! I get the null reference error, Grr.

I then clicked ok and it went away and hasn't came back for several minutes.

So maybe that was the missing mod? Or maybe it just coincidentally fixed it automatically?

Either way, it seems fine once again.

EDIT:

I subscribed all workshop again and it still loads fine. Hopefully does it for you.

I followed your instructions, experienced the same BAM but ... that was indeed the final error, everything works smoothly now.
I can't recall ever downloading such mod though but it sure has done a great job.

Thanks for your time and help! Most appreciated.
