Describe your issue
Load into save on a black screen with visible UI

What is your game version?
1.16.0-f3

What expansions do you have installed?

What mods are you using?
A lot but I've never had issues with them previously, I have checked with compatibility report and there is only minor issues, they wouldn't cripple my game like this.

Please explain your issue is in as much detail as possible.
I load up a save as usual, but when it comes off Loading Screen Manager is shows the in-game UI, but nothing else, just darkness.

Can you replicate the issue? If yes, please explain how you did it.
This just happened one day after alt f4'd while my game was still saving, must've corrupted or messed with something. It's never been the same since then.

Please check your mods against the list below to see if any of them is broken. Also check the tabs "broken" and "incompatible mods"

Also, can you start a new game or is it just a particular save that's giving problems?
I do not use any of the listed broken mods listed...

When I have my mods enabled and start a new game it loads and then boots me off it back onto steam launcher.
However, when I have my mods disabled and launch a new game without them it loads fine.

I think its something to do with a mod or asset but it shows no 'Major Issues' with mods on compatibility report that would brake the game.

I unsubscribed from them before the report. I had some useless mods that other mods already had features for. My game is still the same though.

Make sure you've actually unsubscribed from them and not only disabled them, since they might still interfere with the game.

Could you replicate this issue and then attach the new output log here - and also the error log, if there's one?

Do you remember if you had used any custom networks (roads, highways, railways, etc.) in that particular save and unsubscribed from them later? The game doesn't like when networks are taken away from it and usually breaks. If you don't remember, there's a way of knowing:
  • Subscribe to the Loading Screen Mod if you haven't already and enable it in Content Manager
  • Go to Main Menu > Options and select the Loading Screen Mod in the list on the left
  • In the mod's settings, go to "Reporting" and select "Check assets for errors"
  • Also make sure the option to save report in the directory is enabled too (it is by default)
  • Load the save
  • Go to said directory and open the .htm file generated for that save. It'll have the list of missing assets. Look for missing networks first, since they're more important.

If you don't have missing networks, then try these steps:
  • Go to the Loading Screen Mod's settings again
  • Under "General", select all boxes under Safe Mode
  • Load the save and, if that works, save it as a new file
  • Restart the game, disable the Safe Mode and load the save (the new file) again
