PS4 Version Suddenly running very slow on PS5

Please explain your issue is in as much detail as possible.
Entire game running very slow. It began during gameplay of a 80k city on 9 tiles on a map from the newest content creator pack. On the highest gameplay speed setting a day takes around 20 seconds. I tried: restarting game, restarting console, uninstalling and reinstalling entire game and changing ps5 settings to ‘performance mode’. No change. I then loaded up previous cities that were built before latest expansion with no issues, to find they too are running extremely slowly. Even when loading up previous cities the circular chirper loading animation seems to be affected. I am not sure of any more troubleshooting steps i can take on the ps5! Help greatly appreciated!

Clearing ps5 cache also had no effect.

*Fixed*
I demolished the newest area of the city that was developed and this has sped the game back up. Unsure what the issue was. I read something on a different post about nodes being too close together? Unsure how to diagnose that on console in future
