Describe your issue
Cities Skylines Remastered map editior does not have access to road snapping options including elevation step

What is your game version?
Cities Skylines Remastered Xbox v1.0.5.0

What expansions do you have installed?
After Dark, Sunset Harbor, Airports

What mods are you using?
None

Please explain your issue is in as much detail as possible.
The map editor in remastered uses the up and down arrow for changing height, but does not allow the RB menu like in game. This prevents access to any of the snapping features including angles, elevation step etc.

Can you replicate the issue? If yes, please explain how you did it.
This is a very easy issue to replicate, just try to build a map. You cannot make good looking highways and infrastructure on maps without access to these tools.

Hi MTM I Have a rough workaround for a few things in map editor.

- Road / Rail height can be tricked by lowering and raising the terrain under the road/rail bridge you want to build, it's a pain in the backside but for now to make smooth bridges its the best we got at the moment.
- The Roads available all bend when we want a T connection, well the 2way highway with sound barriers is the only Road that behaves like a dirt Road, you can use those for measurements, not as great as a dirt road but it will do.
- it may sound counter intuitive but making your landmass & add your sea water to get an eye for your land shape, then removing water so you can build nice roads, then put the water back in after your roads/rail are done, i find is an easier method, otherwise your constantly fighting water as you make bridges etc etc.

i played on PC version making a map & from making a map on the new remastered version, we do need some measurement tools (dirt roads) along with snapping tools, elevation step.
we also need access to some of the other roads so we can start out city from a simple parclo style highway exit, rather than having two highway ends, just to go and replace once you start playing the map, some people probably don't mind that.
we also need a mixed tree brush, and some prop line tools.
And they need to make the prop collision smaller or have an option Turn it off, it's annoying.
Road bending 'OFF' would be nice too, we don't need roads to bend if we want a T connection.
iv'e noticed the delete function on the tree brush that's one up from the smallest size doesn't delete trees very well so you have to use tiny brush or massive brush to delete trees.

i think they should've held back another week to get this release right, it feels short with a few bugs, the dlc issue & without some kind of 'Map Swap Shop' for ps users to share maps, because you make maps for other players, that's the incentive to make top quality maps, for other to see & play.

maybe that will come later ?

Why did i go from PC C:S back to Remaster you may wonder ? , on PC id spend too much time browsing workshop & not playing C:S, i liked Ps4 C:S and just playing the game, while listening too Manuel Gottsching - E2 E4. = Spiritual Tranquility.

i been a subscriber for a while, watched your vids back when i was a Newbie on C:S, Honou Island was my favourite map back then so i watched your series on Honu.
now we can remix that map on console :)

Edit: i don't know if i explained the trick well.

so you go up one elevation level and it's too high, so you then lower terrain so it lowers the elevation to how you high you want it, then build road/rail.. then repair terrain back to it's original state that you wanted it to be.

Hi, I had a similar issue working it out on the PS5. It’s is to do with a “snap to” menu. On PS5 you press R1 and then a Snap to menu comes up, you can then choose from 5 items. 90 degree, Road length, Grid, road guidelines and elevation step. Once you click on 90 degree, then you go back and it will allow you to bring up the image you have above. Im PS5 you press Triangle To bring up the image. It won’t show unless the 90 degree item is selected in the snap to menu.
