City growing, but traffic going slower and slower

Hello!

Yesterday evening I experienced slowing traffic after a few hours of play. I grew my city from 18k to 45k population and gradually the traffic was going slower. It was just like level 3 speed actually was level 1 speed. When clicking the overview map (where you can buy tiles), the speed increased again. Going back to the city slowed traffic/time again. The interface for building wasn't affected.

What could cause this? I was noticing my laptop getting a bit hot but I think my system is fully capable to run this game:
- Intel Core i7 4702MQ
- 16GB RAM
- Nvidia GeForce GTX 750M
- Game installed on my SSD with enough space left.

Any help is appreciated

It's definitly odd. Are you dropping frames? Low frame rate could account for the slower looking traffic.

However it's probably not that. What's you're core clock? Sounds like you're processor may be having trouble. Then again you're traffic shouldnt be speeding up when turning on overhead mode which obviously tames the graphics down.

So this is pretty contradictory. On one hand it's you're graphics, but the other it could be the cpu.

Are you for certain that when click the overview that it speeds up?

Actually now that I'm thinking about it overhead view may be deleting some cars on the road to increase preformance when looking at the entire city. Idk man

Just my guess. Give me some more info and I'll see what else I can think of.

I've been having lag issues myself. It seems that the game or Nvidia could just need a patch/
