Not sure if this is a bug or WAD.
If a civil war clan subjugates he will lose his clan leader status and downgrade to either a daimyo or kukujin depending on what titles he holds. If he has any vassals he can't hold on to, for example if he downgrades to kokujin he can't have other kokujin vassals, then these vassals get transfered to the other side of the civil war.
Possible sollutions:
-civil war clans should not be able to subjugate?
-if a civil war clan subjugates change the clan name so the subjugated leader can retain his clan leader status?
