Sure I'm interested in collaboration, let me know what these names should be changed to.
  • Jonava - It more or less covers the areas of historical Lithuanian ethno region of Aukštaitija/Aukshtaitija.
  • Wilna - Lietuva or simply Lithuania. It is not perfect, but still close to the borders of Lithuanian tribe and later to the Duchy of Lithuania, Lithuania propria.
  • Kowno - Suvalkija. The former part of the Yotvingians lands under Lithuanian rule.
  • Grodno - Novogrodok. A very important ancient town, former princedom and very rich and special region of the Grand Duchy of Lithuania. Also several border tweaks and additional Slutsk, Drutsk and Svisloch regions would be nice (later game important Ruthenian princedoms), but there as you wish.
  • Bialystok - Brańsk looks much better.
  • Brest - Berestia (the ancient Slavic name), Brest is too modern.
  • Minsk - the ancient form from chronicles is "Miensk". But you can use both.
  • Pinsk - could be Polesia, if you prefer regions names instead of simple towns. Also the border here is absolutely strange: if you check the real map you will see Turov and Pinsk is almost on the same line and quite close. So the border line between them should go rather vertical instead of horizontal like on my map perhaps?
  • Krytchaw - Prapojsk is better.
  • Brutsi - Lyubech

Also unrelated, but your West Friesland IMO is better as "West Frisia" and Emden as "East Frisia"; Skane as Skania.

Like the breadth of the map, but no fan of the provinces ... far too many are unusably anachronistic for CK era, while there are strange features ( the Syrian desert starting after Palmyra ... I've been there, Palmyra is on the rout between the Levant and Mesopotamia and shouldn't be blocked off), and mistakes (Strathclyde is the same area as the later medieval sheriff of Lanark ... Carrick and Kyle ain't part of it!).

That map would be awesome to play on - let's hope the CK2 basemap takes cues >.>
Although a Damascus-Palmyra physical link would be better IMO, it's too isolated as is.

In the Netherlands that area is known as West Friesland and the area of Leeuwarden is known as Friesland, however one could replace Friesland by Frisia.

It all depends on which chronicles you are working with
It all sound like rewriting history to me.
For example: Brest isnt too modern its just misspelled version of the proper polish name Brześć, and Berestia is latinized version of the same name.
next:Suvalkija is not ancient name for Kowno but the name of the region in north-eastern Poland and south-western Lithuania (ist crossed with border) and secondly it is the name of the biggest city in this region (biggest in the polish part) -> Suwałki

Don't base your knowledge on wikipedia. Libraries are out there too :)
