Ck Events for Poland and Lithuania

This thread is intended for events occuring in Poland and Lithuania.
The meta thread for CK events is here
This is a suggestion on what can be included:
Code:
Event Date
Event Location
Event Name
Event Description
Event Effect in RL (short term)
Source

Sergei points out that events should primarily be of *special* or *less-known* character that enrich the gaming experience. The ideas don't need to be very detailed, which will also allow the developers to tweak the events.

"Optics" (alt. "Perspectiva") written by Witelo (alt. Vitello, Vitellius, Vitellio, Vitello)
Witelo was a Polish philosopher who solved several problems in optics. The work "Optics" deals with the Aristotle's problem: "Why is it that when the sun passes through quadrilaterals, as for instance in wickerwork, it does not produce figures rectangular in shape but circular?" This treatise rejects the Greek notion that rays travel from the eye to the thing seen. The work also covers geometrical optics, reflection, and refraction.
He was also the first to suggest that rainbows are caused by refraction , and not reflection, from raindrops. This refuted Aristotle's view set forth in "Meteors".
Sources www and biographic entry provided by Donald Tyson in "The three books of occult philosophy"

1) Boleslaw Krzywousty divides Poland between his sons.....Effect was collapse of Polish kingdom into many small principalities for 200 years...

2) Invitation to come and settle of Teutonic Order by Prince of Mazovsze... Konrad Mazowiecki.. If he would not do that there would be no war between the two later..

3) Move of capitol from Gniezno to Krokow by Kazimierz Odnowiciel.....

It's not so funny...:( :(
:D

I think you guys are approaching the issue from a wrong angle - all the Privileges, Marriages, Treaties, Divisions and Land Transfers will be done by the way of game engine, not events. Also, as Txini pointed out, the engine is dynamic, so there will most likely be no Boleslaw the Bold or Henry the Pious to begin with.

The only event so far that can, imho, work as the event for the purpose of CK is the writing of Optics.

You have to remember it is CK, not EU-Middle Ages. :)

Henry the Pious? Could you clear up?
Hmm... I could not exactly agree with you. In principle, you have right that marriages, treaties, divisions and land transfers will be done by the way of game engine:( but those proposes have been sugestions only. ;) and I realy belive that those events could be playable. Some changes and modifications and all will be clear!!:D
I'm open to you're suggestions and new solutions:) ;) :)

Yea, Witelon was very orginal philosopher.
But why don't we put this event in 1275?
