Please explain your issue is in as much detail as possible.
The game randomly crashes. Sometimes it crashes before even reaching the pop up menu. Sometimes it crashes after the loading screen. Most of the time, though, it reaches the main menu, where it crashes when I click any button.

Hardware specifications:
OS: Windows 10
CPU: Intel Core i5-7300HQ
GPU: Nvidia GTX 1060 3GB (Laptop version)
The OS and Steam are installed on a 128GB SSD, but CK2 files are located on a separate 1TB HDD.

I am uploading the two logs I could find in the logs folder. All other logfiles are empty

Steps to reproduce the issue.
Launch the game
Watch it crash

Hi,

This is very likely caused by the switch to 64-bit. The following is what has fixed similar problems for the players I've been in contact with:

1) We forgot to include the needed x64 visual C++ redistributable. For most people this seems to make the game crash before the launcher even pops. It should be there now so you should be able to get it by reinstalling the game and install visual C++ when prompted. You can of course also get it directly from Microsoft.

2) Disabling all mods

3) Making sure drivers (especially the graphics/video driver) are up to date.

4) Updating the OS itself.

5) Removing all game files and doing a full reinstall of the game. If you try this don't forget to make a backup of any saves, settings etc. that you want to keep.

If you could try the above and let us know if it fixes the problem for you that would be of great help!

Thank you for the answer ! Unfortunately, it still doesn't work :(

I think the problem lies with 1). I tried installing the Visual C++ redistributable using your link, but the installation failed because it is apparently already installed, and it tells me to remove it before installing. But this version - 2015 Visual C++ redistributable - is not installed, however I have numerous version (from 2013 to 2017) installed. Does that mean I should remove all of these before reinstalling the 2015 Visual C++ one ?
Because it's a bit of a hassle, and also these versions are here because I have programs that require them...

Otherwise, I never had any mod enabled, so that's not it.

I updated drivers (GPU, and a couple other things) but nothing changed

Windows is telling my I'm up to date, so doesn't look like I can update the OS itself.

I've done a clean reinstall of the game, making sure all the files (in steamapps and in Paradox Interactive) were deleted before reinstalling.

Ok, I think the 2017 version should be enough as long as it is x64.

Do you have any anti virus software installed and if so could you try either temporarily disabling it or white listing Steam and CK2 in it?
