Please explain your issue is in as much detail as possible.
I was playing the game as a Germanic pagan from the 1066 start, and at one point the pope declared a crusade for Greece, which was held by the Orthodox Byzantine Empire. This wasn't the 4th crusade chain - it was a regular crusade, but targeting an Orthodox realm, which shouldn't happen per what the game rules are supposed to be. The crusaders won, and a Catholic king was set up in Greece. The Byzantine empire wasn't shattered like what happens in a 4th Crusade either.
Steps to reproduce the issue.
This just happened while I was playing a pagan realm, so I'm not sure. It might be worth checking to see whether a Catholic in the current game version is able to switch crusade targets to orthodox via the crusade interface.
