One line summary of your issue
(3.3.2 IIVC) Child Name

Game Version
3.3.2 IIVC

What expansions do you have installed?

Legacy of Rome

Do you have mods enabled?
Yes

Please explain your issue is in as much detail as possible.
Up until today, I was able to name my children directly without much concern as I only had two mods that didn't effect this as well as the Royal Character Creator. Yesterday night however I bought the Customization Pack the one with the beard and hair changer. I didn't notice at first but my character is unable to name any of my direct children. I should also mention that I am on a MacBook and it never had any problems before this.

Steps I did to try and resolve this issue and failed.

1. Restart the game
2. Verify files via Steam
3. Disabled mods
4. Disabled DLC and mods.
5. Checked and updated Message Settings

Please note that I am unable to choose none as an option for expansions because I don't own any of those, so I picked Legacy of Rome but I do not own this content as it wouldn't let me post otherwise.

Steps to reproduce the issue.
I honestly don't know. Like I said it happened randomly. I apologize if this breaks the rules or something but all I did was install the newly bought content.

I've opened the game both with just the Customization Pack enabled and with no DLCs enabled. In neither case was I able to rename children (aside from renaming them when they are born). I do remember that one of the less talked about (but still useful) features of the Holy Fury expansion is the ability to rename your children until they are 10 or 11 (I can't remember which). Are you sure you haven't mistaken renaming children with the ability to name your child when they are born?

P.S. Thanks for clarifying the DLC thing. It's really helpful for isolating issues.

I've opened your save and well...

Your character has definitely been edited (perhaps by whatever mod you were using), and the fact that your wife has the same congenital traits that are super difficult to get on one character tells me she's also probably been edited (again, maybe by whatever mod you were using). Especially since neither of your parents exhibit any of the congenital traits. One of you could be the Spawn of Satan (an uncommon supernatural event), but neither character have the usual modifiers that accompany spawn of satan.

As it turns out, the problem has been talked about before, and there is a general solution, although it's from a very outdated patch. The problem itself appears to be due to some scripting error in one of the mods you were using. The solution I found is from https://ck2.paradoxwikis.com/Troubleshooting (last row of the table before the Testing section), but you should definitely proceed with caution, since that page hasn't been updated since patch 2.7, which was a little under 3 years ago.

If I were in your shoes, I'd try each mod separately on a new save to identify which mod is causing the issue, then contact the mod author about the bug. I think the save might be unsalvageable, though.
