One line summary of your issue
CK II 3.2.1 AZCE Black COA

Game Version
3.2.1 AZCE

What expansions do you have installed?
All of the above

Do you have mods enabled?
No

Please explain your issue is in as much detail as possible.
All time periods, nearly all titles have a black COA during and prior to new game. Happened after I patched the game from an early version of HF recently. Tried rolling back, same issue.

Here's the things I've already tried:

Disabled all mods. Only change was more COA were missing because it lost the ones added or changed by HIP.

Deleted all mods. No changes.

Deleted gfx folder in documents. Verified integrity. No changes.

Full uninstallation and then reinstallation. No changes.

Rolled back as far as it lets me, one patch at a time. No changes.

Deleted gfx folder again, along with a suggested edit to system involving aspect ratio. Verified integrity. No change.

Deleted entire crusader kings 2 folder in documents. Verified integrity. No changes.

Deleted gfx folder in game files. Verified integrity. No changes.

*****Discovered the line "[gfx_dx9.cpp:890]: GfxReset failed with error: D3DERR_INVALIDCALL: Invalid call" repeated several times in logs/error. Not sure if THIS is the cause. Windows 10 automatically updates directx and I double checked that windows was indeed updated.
Note that I haven't made any changes to this PC since the last time Ck2 was updated OTHER THAN a windows update.

I am running the game on a pretty basic laptop but it's never had any gfx issues of this sort before.

Steps to reproduce the issue.

Does anybody know what is causing this? I've tried everything I can think of short of reformatting my laptop >_>

Edit: I reformatted since nobody knew what was wrong. That fixed it for now.
