[I am not aware of installing any expansions. Choosing "no expansions" was not available as an option. I don't know what the correct answer is to that question.]

Looking for tech support...

I have a 2017 MacBookPro with OS 10.15.7 Catalina and I just downloaded CK2 on Steam. I was unable to play it when I tried to run it for the first time.

CK2 took over my screen in full screen mode but shifted half a screen down, somehow. So: the top half of my screen was blank, and the bottom half was the top screen of the game! I was unable to access any controls in this mode and I had to hard-reboot my computer to exit.

Does this problem sound familiar to anyone, and do you have any suggestions? Thanks!

Steps to reproduce the issue.
Open CK2 via Steam
Small window appears
Click Play
Small window disappears
Screen goes blank
*bottom half* of screen displays what appears to be the *top half* of the CK2 game

Looking for tech support...

Disclaimer: I'm just another forum member

You have to post in the tech support subforum for that.

If i read this thread :
i found right, then you have to manually adjust the resolution to fit your desktops' resolution

and the linked thread there to a similar issue on EU4 with the same and other fixes
(with the difference that you can't change anything in the launcher for CK2, but have to manually edit the settings.txt file) :
https://forum.paradoxplaza.com/foru...n-macos-catalina.1270623/page-3#post-26234870
If the specific resolution in this post doesn't work for you, i suggest to take the resolution your desktop has.

If you still contact tech support, they might have another idea how to go about this.
I'm not a mac user, so can only share what i found on the forum.
