Please explain your issue is in as much detail as possible.
I'm playing as King of Milan, and have elective gavelkind. I'm trying to vote for my nephew and bought favors to ensure votes. But, even though he has the most votes, it keeps defaulting my heir to my son, who has zero votes. If I vote for anyone else, besides who I'm currently voting for, it works normally. Any ideas whats going on?

This is a wild guess, since I don't play with elective gavelkind very often. Maybe it has something to do with
1. the fact that he is your primary heir and
2. The person you want to win has only a plurality of votes and not an absolute majority?

I'm assuming the first person is your first son, the second person is your nephew (and chosen heir), the third person is your second son, and the fourth is your third and youngest child.

If so, when you select your first son, he's the default heir, so succession will succeed with plurality but not majority, because he's the default heir.
When you select your second son, two people are obliged to vote with you, and I assume at least one of the people voting for your second son continues to support him. This creates an absolute majority of the votes, so your second son will inherit.
When you select your third son, the same situation as the second son happens (absolute majority of people voting for him).

I could be completely wrong, but what happens if you buy a favor for succession support one more time?
