Hello and thank you for the report. This is not something we have encountered while testing on Linux internally. Some players who tried the 64-bit open beta on Windows fixed not being able to play the game either by updating graphics drivers or deleting a file called dbghelp.dll. See these two threads: 1, 2.

Did not work for me. :(

Alright, do you both of you get a freeze when you try to start the game? Otherwise what happens? If you haven't could you please try a full reinstall? It would also help if you could try renaming the "Crusader Kings 2" folder located in user/paradox interactive/ (or documents/paradox interactive/) as sometimes files located there can interfere with the setup of the game.

No it doesn't freeze for me.
Full reinstall did not work.
For the renaming could you please explain further?

Hi,
I tried to reinstalled Steam and Crusader king but nothing to do, I still have the same problem. I tried to rename the file and it's always the same thing. However, I can now see the game being launched but thereafter, the mouse on my computer freezes and I have to restart my computer.

Could you check what OS you are on and if it is a 32 or 64 bit version? Also, did you also verify that your graphics driver is recent?

By renaming I meant that you should have a folder, likely in your user directory, called Paradox Interactive, with sub folders for each game you've installed. This is usually where your save files are stored. Some files that are located there are used when, and can sometimes interfere with, booting the game.

As you might not want to delete the folder, and lose save files, settings etc. you can try renaming it and start the game to check if this is the case.
