Had 60 points lost down to 12 and then to zero, regained the twelve but haven't gotten all of them back

OH, thought you might have been reporting an EU4 bug to the wrong subforum. This makes much more sense.

There's a known visual bug with Monarch's Journey in the title menu that incorrectly displays that you have 0 points when you first click that tab. For me, the visual bug disappears if I click the challenges tab, and then click the right arrow button on the rewards unlocked (I know previously that I only had to click the challenges tab before, but in my case I actually have more points than required for the last reward). This should show your total number of accumulated points across all of the monarch's journeys you've done.

Now, as for showing only 12 points, if you enter into a particular monarch's journey save, the in-game menu will only display the total number of points you've obtained on that particular journey, so maybe that's what you're getting confused about?
