i inherited a mosque as a greek shia ruler (vassal to ERE). lost game immediately.

expected: i can rule a mosque as a muslim

Steps to reproduce the issue.
playing as:

1. Greek Shia ruler
2. vassal to Byzantine Empire
3. inherit a Shia mosque
4. game over screen

Hi, I had a similar bug last year but never reported it and I couldn't reproduce it afterwards.

Was your government Iqta or Feudal before inheriting? It should of course be iqta but in some circumstances I've seen feudal Muslim rulers which could explain a forced government shift. Still, that should only happen if the inherited title is higher than your own.
Was the holder of the temple (I'm guessing it was a barony?) an Orthodox (theocracy) or a Muslim (iqta) ruler?

I should add that I can offer no help but am merely asking for my own curiosity.


EDIT:
Hang on, what does your game over screen state? Is it game over because you've got an unplayable government or was it a game over because you were unlanded? There's been a bug reported about converting temple holders always get their title usurped by newly generated rulers. Perhaps that is somehow happening to you? Just guessing, obviously.

Interesting questions - I also wasn't able to reproduce it and didn't take note of the game over screen state. I was Iqta as far as I know, although my top level title was also a ducal viceroy in the ERE. That said... originally I had murdered the temple holder, which is when I lost on inheritance. On reload, when the temple holder died naturally, I inherited with no issue.

Unclear how to reproduce.
