Please explain your issue is in as much detail as possible.
So I'm playing as Byzantine Emperor, openly Orthodox, but secretly Hellenistic. Several provinces have the modifier "secret community", as I've used the "prepared ground" action there. However, when I decide to openly adopt the secret faith, while emperor, any of the provinces with a secret community that was not in my demesne does not convert at all.

I even tried to use console commands to change the religion of the vassals controlling those provinces to see if the issue was that the province's direct ruler needed to belong to the religion, but it made no difference at all.

Is this WAD? Is "prepare ground" only supposed to work within demesne?

Steps to reproduce the issue.
As a top-level ruler, join a secret religion, become the leader, prepare a province that is in the realm but not in the demesne. See if that province converts when openly adopting faith.

It doesn't even work in just the demesne. I've been playing a campaign like this, too, and my ruler died, the Oracle went to someone else and they activated the conversion. They were landless and zero counties converted. I had all of Greece/Epirus and Constantinople and got nothing. Obviously a trainwreck of a shift, and very annoying. Can't possibly be WAD, I hope.... :|

I mean, surely it should at MINIMUM activate the provinces that are members and accept the conversion (but honestly also other secret comrades w/ hidden communities).
