In my game, Arabian Empire is ruled by a Slavic Bohemian ruler. The Caliph (now just a lowly duke somewhere in southern Egypt) declared a jihad for Arabia, and was promptly defeated. As the war ended, the Slavic Bohemian rule got the "Sword of Allah" nickname.

It seems that conditions for getting this nickname are not set up quite correctly, as I think only muslim rulers who win a jihad against non-muslims should be able to get it.

Steps to reproduce the issue.

When tried again from an earlier save, that ruler got title "Sword of the Greatest", which sounds like a variation of the "Sword of Allah" title and also should not be attainable for non-muslims.

I've gotten Sword of Jesus before on a reformed Germanic pagan, as Fylkir, who was secretly Christian. He was my heir and inherited during the middle of a holy war he declared against some Catholic. I renounced the secret religion but still got the name when I finished the holy war. That guy is probably secretly Muslim. I do think that being used to set your nickname is a bug though.

I have secret religions disabled in this game. I should have mentioned that, sorry.

It's been this way for a while, probably since Jade dragon. The "Sword of _" nickname takes the god of whoever you defeated to earn the nickname instead of your own god. Considering that it hasn't been fixed yet, I assume it was intended.

EDIT: Nevermind, I just saw it work the other way and give a Slavic pagan the nickname Sword of Jarilo. So I take back my claim that it's intended. You were right to report it as a bug. It's just a longstanding bug, I guess.
