Short summary of your issue
Can't imprison rebellious vassals because their war was invalidated

Game Version
1.4.4

What OS are you playing on?
Windows

What platform are you using?
Steam

Do you have mods enabled?
No

Have you tried verifying your game files (Steam only)?
Yes

How much "pain" is this causing you?
8

Please explain the issue you experienced in the most condensed way possible
Vassals started a claimant faction, declared war on me, four years in the claimant dies, war is invalidated, but I have no imprisonment reason on the rebellious vassals.

Please explain how to reproduce the issue
Have vassals start a claimant faction, then they press their demands. At some point during the war the claimant dies, thus invalidating the war. Following this, there is a surprising lack of imprisonment reason for those that rebelled.

Is there anything else you think could help us identify/replicate the issue?

I have attached a save game

Just updating that this happened again, and its impossible to work around or avoid.
The opposing claimant candidate appears to always end up serving as a Knight in the opposing armies, but you have no insight where.
I fought back against overwheming numbers, only to have them get killed by one of my knights in a major battle.

I can understand its not as simple as the logic that substitutes new rulers into factions. One of my opposing Dukes died, and his son immediately joined the war, but claim inheritence is different.

There logically seems to be 2 options here
1) The faction chooses a new claimant to put forward, assuming they have 1 that has the required claim. Otherwise they formally lose the war.
2) They lose the war.

The current situation is very frustrating, as within a short time months, my rebellious vassals are back joining factions, and my ability to pursue external wars is effectively blocked, since I can't punish them for rebelling.

I'm getting a no longer valid war from a Liberty uprising. A duke is claiming independence, and eventually he gets captured after a battle and then the war ends. He's in my prison but I can't revoke any of his titles with getting Tyranny. I can just keep him in prison but all his titles will pass to his children and until then he's in prison which isn't helping my realm.

I think this should be fixed now by 1.5 change

"Fixed claimant wars where the claimant dies getting invalidated the day after becoming a Depose war. Now the Depose war should continue properly"
