Please explain the issue you experienced in the most condensed way possible
I put in a lot of effort to get the condottieri innovation as a Greek and when I get it the number of available mercenary companies doesn't change from 18. The innovation specifically states that this should double i.e. +100%. Either way, this doesn't change.

Please explain how to reproduce the issue


Is there anything else you think could help us identify/replicate the issue?

Doesn't work like that. There no extra "Sons of Zeus" or "Epirus Wolves" companies that just pop up for hire only for your culture. But each company gets extra troops. So you hire a mercenary, nominally size 2000, and get +100%, that is 4000 troops. Number of knights though does not change.

I've added a new bug to our database, because even in the best case, the effect is not particularly clear from the description.

I reloaded a save and size doesn't double either.
