Short summary of your issue
Estonian/Finnish cultures falsely use a medieval cog GFX although their ships were identical to Scandinavian longships

Game Version
1.3

What OS are you playing on?
Windows

What platform are you using?
Steam

Do you have mods enabled?
No

Have you tried verifying your game files (Steam only)?
No

How much "pain" is this causing you?
5

Please explain the issue you experienced in the most condensed way possible
Estonian/Finnish cultures use the wrong ship GFX and it is quite immersion breaking to see some pagans in the far north using Western-European cogs while in reality their longships were identical to Eastern Scandinavian longships down to the small details like animal/serpent decorations.

Please explain how to reproduce the issue
Launch the game and move your armies to the sea as Estonian/Finnish

Is there anything else you think could help us identify/replicate the issue?

I have attached a save game
No

Same should be with the new buildings that are found in Scandinavia. Historical Estonian fort from an excavation, graphical design created after foundations that have been found:

I can understand if you want to keep it exclusive to the norse culture, but it's just that northern european culture was very similar around the baltic sea. I don't know how else you can make the buildings look in future flavor packs.

Also, the longship unlock in Estonian innovations look bugged out:

Is Estonia North Europe then or not? It is in Scandinavian Empire de jure and in a northern tech.

That's too much simplification. The material culture, social customs, way of life etc was the same for most of Estonia excluding deep inland, coastal Finland and the Finnic areas of modern-day Latvia. Those areas were in the same cultural group as Scandinavia.
Archaeologists have found notable differences when it comes to the Baltic and Slavic cultures in the southern and south-eastern areas of the Baltic sea. Like for example when talking about Grobina, there was a Scandinavian colony there were archaeological finds similar to the ones in Scandinavia disappear when you go further than 12km from the Scandinavian stronghold which means that there was little if no interaction with the locals.
Meanwhile, finds from Estonia, Finnic areas of Latvia and coastal Finland are very similar to Scandinavian artifacts without any Scandinavian colonisation. This points to strong mutual contacts that were quite friendly which is opposite to the interactions between the Scandinavians and the Balts which were hostile and not frequent.

TL;DR Finnic material culture on coasts of the Baltic sea was practically indistinguishable from Eastern Scandinavia but Baltic & Slavic material culture, way of life etc was quite different. But Baltic/Slavic ships were most likely more similar to other ships in the Baltic sea region than to cogs. It is important to note that Balts nor Slavs weren't really known for being seafarers. For example, the Baltic Curonians inhabited an area where the coastline had a length of 40km while the Finnic Curonians, who's culture was very similar to Saaremaa, were seafarers to the same extent as other Finnics and Scandinavians.

Not here to argue against you. I'm glad to see that this bug report got accepted to be fixed. I didn't think of making a bug report as I didn't think it was a bug.
Otherwise nice that you also made a bug report about the regional thing aswell.
I suppose it isn't very nice to make a huge chatter here in the bug report so we might just aswell continue in the original Estonian thread we were posting in before. You haven't made a bug report about the names have you?
