Every time I load the attached save, the game crashes a few in-game days after starting.

It seems like they respond with that formal "we'll pas that issue to the devs" for a month now, and this still doesn't even get confirmed mark

It does not matter what I do. It continues to CTD on every game I start. It does it with new saves and old save. It does it with mods or no mods. Different dates for different saves but always on the same date. It appears an event is trying to occur because the games pauses and then CTD.

I already lost it due to clean uninstall and reinstall. I am sure it will happen again within a day or so. Once it does, I will post the save on here.

I honestly hope that the reinstall fixes your problem, but if not, uploading saves will hopefully lead to a fix for everyone with this bug(s).

That did not take long. I actually got further into a game this time. I made it into the 900s for the first time in a long time. I saved it on March 3. That is one day before CTD. A great save so far and now completely unplayable.

I have the same issues! Every game is now unplayable after a few years of runtime! This is really upsetting!

Ok, had same problem with a created character... Crashed in 25 december 960 something eerytime... basically that savve is ruined

I, too, have the exact same error, including the "Trying to trigger an animation with glow_alpha for a widget which has no glow" shortly before the crash.

Game is unplayable. Even going far back into the past doesn't help - I FF to the date in question and it crashes on the same day without fail.

Okay folks, it took me HOURS of troubleshooting, but I eventually figured out what was causing the issue on my save - the imminent death of my ruler.
I installed 'Let It Go - An Abdication Mod' and abdicated on the day before the crash. My heir picks up the mantle and, lo and behold, two days later my abdicated ruler dies. The game carries on. I've run the game at max speed for some time and no further crashes.

WHY the death of my ruler caused the crash, I will probably never know. But this is at least a potential fix for you folks with this problem.

Same thing happening to me. Super frustrating that there doesn't seem to be a fix.

Same issue here, game crashes without fail on Fabruary 4th, i've tried:
ending all the wars around the world
changing character
loading back a few years
nothing worked
tried editing the date in the save file to make it be a few days after the "Crash day"
this resulted in the game crashing immediately after it starts loading the save file

Every time I play any save it will crush in the same in-game date, making it impossible to continue.

WHen I had this problem, I ended up needing to go back to an older save and hoping the random events were different. But i think using the debug mode and skipping the day works as well

Good to know that this is an issue that has existed for years and has never been addressed. It's happening even in 2024. The save crashes on the same date every time, for seemingly no reason. It's a new save and has no mods that could be breaking it.

Still no fix for this? My first thought was that it was caused by more bookmarks+ mod I'm using, but the problem seems to be an event the game is trying to fire. This is the last line of my latest error report: "[E][eventmanager.cpp:86]: Event 'on_action_namespace.146' expected scope 'landed_title', but got 'character'". I could probably fix it myself if I knew where to find this event. I've been playing for almost 400 ingame years. Neither editing my save file nor using the set_date command helped.
