Please explain the issue you experienced in the most condensed way possible

According to dev diary, harsh winter should increase casualties, however the tooltip reads that casualties are decreasing.

Please explain how to reproduce the issue


Is there anything else you think could help us identify/replicate the issue?

Not fixed in Azure. It's unclear if the winter mechanics work as intended, UI issue only or is the modifier in the calculation inverted too?

The 00_province_modifiers.txt file, at line 107 has "hard_casualty_winter" with a value of "-0.2"

I assume this is what's causing the issue. Maybe it should be "0.2" or "+0.2"

Note that supply_loss_winter has a value of "-10" and AFAIK that works correctly, so it's unknown if this bug is an interface issue with how the modifier is displayed, or if it actually causes less casualties in combat.

I haven't tested it to make sure it's just an interface issue, although I'd imagine we could try setting it to "-0.9" and see if there's suddenly MUCH more or MUCH less casualties in harsh winter, although IIRC 30% of all casualties are considered fatal and I don't know if testing will give an accurate result as there might be a chance of rollover.
