Ask him to join the war and try to be at the same barony as his army.

Is there anything else you think could help us identify/replicate the issue?
Even easer way to check that something is completely wrong:
Offer peace to chieftain Daniil (your ally!!!) and that will bring you in the map mode that you cannot exit, anymore.

OK, after thinking a bit about this, it may be related to the another issue that I reported, about dying during the war against tyranny. Chieftain Daniil was my mother's ally (previous queen) and she died during the war, while I (primary heir) was fighting for the other side, never managing to sign peace with him.

Hello jakisa!

Looks like you have found a bug in this crazy turn of events. I located your other report CK III - Died during the war against tyranny and it seems to be the most likely cause for the problem your having now. I am going to add it to our bug tracker for further investigation.

Thank you for the report and all the follow up information!
