Please explain the issue you experienced in the most condensed way possible
The new achievements from Northern Lords do not show up in the achievements menu. Also should have gotten the "Volva" achievement but confirmation message did not appear (save game attached).

Please explain how to reproduce the issue
This was the case since Northern Lords was installed.

Is there anything else you think could help us identify/replicate the issue?
I was a victim of the "When I open the game, the start page loads but after two or three seconds it turns completely blue" CK3 Tech Support issue. Everything else in the DLC seems to be there. Tried logging out and in my account from launcher, menu that appears after clicking "LAUNCH GAME" from launcher, and main menu. Uninstalled and reinstalled Northern Lords.

I have attached a save game
Yes

Hi Chieftain Odd Surr,

I need a little more information here.
  1. You said you were a victim of the mentioned tech support issue (When I open the game, the start page loads but after two or three seconds it turns completely blue). Has this been resolved completely for you? Or did you find some workaround?
  2. Are you playing with a network connection? Or are you attempting to play in offline mode/without logging in?
  3. Have the achievements for Northern Lords ever shown up in game for you? You mentioned that you should have gotten the Volva achievement, but if it has never been available in your game then there is little reason to believe it would be awarded.
  4. Have you attempted to reinstall the entire game and not just the DLC?
There is a chance that the achievements not showing is related to the start page loading issue. If the game is not connecting properly it may be having trouble verifying that you own the DLC.

Awaiting your response!

Hello,

1. The tech support issue was resolved completely for me at around the same time when other people in that thread also had it resolved. However, I did not play the game with Northern Lords installed before that issue happened, so it may be related to this bug for all I know.
2. Yes I have been playing with a connection. When the tech support issue was happening I did run the game without it and noticed that the achievements list was greyed out, so I assume that achievements are tied to my account. Since I just had the tech support issue happen, which apparently was a problem with the accounts, I figured it could be related to this.
3. No, I never had the achievements for Northern Lords appear.
4. I just uninstalled and reinstalled the game using the launcher and they're still not there. I don't know if you want me to reinstall in a different way.

Thank you for responding.

Hi there again Chieftain Odd Surr,

So it would be recommended to do a full reinstall of the launcher and game at this point.

Re-installing the game doesn't always remove all of the game related files so please follow the steps below and be sure to place your save games in a safe location while you do this.

1. Move any valued save games elsewhere (default location is: Documents\Paradox Interactive\Crusader Kings III\save games)

2. Uninstall CK3 from the launcher menu

3. Remove game-specific files created by the launcher if they still exist at: Documents\Paradox Interactive\Crusader Kings III

4. Uninstall the launcher and remove its settings files

  1. Go to Add or Remove Programs and uninstall “Paradox Launcher v2”
  2. Delete the following files or folders, if they still exist:
    1. C:\Users\<username>\AppData\Roaming\Paradox Interactive\launcher-v2
    2. C:\Users\<username>\AppData\Local\Paradox Interactive\launcherpath (should be gone)
    3. C:\Users\<username>\AppData\Local\Paradox Interactive\launcher-v2 (should only contain logs)

5. Restart your computer

6. Install Paradox Plaza Launcher

7. Install CK3

8. Add CK3.exe to the exceptions list of your antivirus app; ESPECIALLY if you have Windows Defender, add it to the Ransomware "Apps Allowed Through" list.

9. Start the game with no mods active and test

In particular make sure there are no files or folders left under Documents CK3 location, before installing again.

Try this and if you are still having an issue then reply here and we can troubleshoot further.

Hi again Chieftain Odd Surr,

Are you certain you have purchased the DLC and it is active for the account you're logged into?

If you open your launcher and select "DLC" in the menu on the top left, is the Northern Lords DLC available and enabled?

Hello,

I have the DLC and it is active on my account, although I just double checked to be sure. I had everything else in the DLC, from the new MAAs to the new icons and dynasty legacies when playing as a Nordic ruler, since I purchased the DLC as far as I can tell, certainly during the game the save I gave you was from. I probably should have mentioned that in the original post, though.

Good news Chieftain Odd Surr,

we've been able to confirm this as a bug and it is now being pushed forward in our system. I'm sorry we had to spend so much time troubleshooting, but all initial information led us to believe it was purely a technical issue.

Thank you so much for working with us on this and especially for the initial report. This one will literally be a gamechanger ;)

Cheers!
