CK III Saved games (cloud) disappeared from several days

I have been building up the empire all week, saving frequently but typically not really loading and after quitting continuing by clicking "resume" from launcher. I tried a different game in between and now would like to return to the "main game", but since I was in the other game I can no longer do it by clicking resume on launcher.

I must have made dozens of manual saves in the game during past few days, for example every time when I left the computer for a while. However, when I browse the saved games the most recent saved game on the list is a version of my game from 5 days ago..? Has there been a rollback in the cloud back to 7th of September or how is this possible, since I have been playing and manually saving every day?

If it was a cloud save you may be able to recover it with this process:

I cannot use those steps because I was in a multiplayer game in between and all my autosaves and last game save files have been overwritten by that other game.

I think I probably wasnt loading any of the games I manually "saved" for a few days, although I must have made a lot of those saves. So I am not sure if this is about the games not actually being saved at all to the cloud or if they were saved but were later erased from the cloud.

It seems I need to start a new game and make a local backup save to make sure this doesn't happen again
