CK DV 2.1 beta patch CK 1.05 patch

Windows 7 starter 32-bit 6.1 Build 7600

Acer AO532h, Intel Atom 1.67GHz

1.00 GB RAM

97 GB HD

Intel Graphics Media Accelerator 3150 250MB memory

Realtek High Def Audio

DirectX 11

I've recently purchased a Acer netbook and have been busy loading some games on it for my deployment coming up. CK has always worked on my desktop and laptop which both run Windows XP, the netbook has Windows 7. My problem is that the game (DV) won't start at all, "unhandeled exception detected" it says. CK will start the intro movie but then crash at the conclusion of the movie.

The movie is played through an old version of the Bink player which is not compatible with modern versions of Windows.
Rename the /avi folder to /avi.bak and the game should work fine by skipping the video.

I already tried that with the same result. I just uninstalled and re-installed everything and got the same result.

Know how to do that with Windows 7?

Right-click desktop - Screen Resolution - Advanced settings - List All Modes.
If it's not in there, choose the 'Monitor' tab and remove the checkmark by 'Hide modes that this monitor cannot display'. Go back to the 'Adapter' tab and hope for the best -- pick the resolution and click 'OK' to switch to it.
