CK2 and hoI3 not starting

I received CK2 for free and i bought hoi3. Since i installed them i havent avke to play them. I get the launch message and the running, then they stop running on steam. No luck yet and i have tried verify cache, uninstaling and reinstalling DLCs and in different order. Running the dx...exe on the game folder and the other exe below the Dx folder. Its been like 2 months i think or 3 and i cant play them

So they have never worked on this computer?

For CK2:
Please go to C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Crusader Kings II\ _CommonRedist\DirectX\Jun2010\ and run dxsetup.exe
Please go to C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Crusader Kings II\ _CommonRedist\vcredist\2010\ and run vcredist_x86.exe and vcredist_x64.exe

Also if you have installed a gaming VPN app called Evolve, or the MSI Gaming App, disable it as it clashes with this game.


For HOI3:
Please go to this folder:
...\Steam\steamapps\common\Hearts of Iron 3\install\
Run each of the four .exe files in there in turn. Then go down into the DX folder there and run dxsetup.exe

THEN manually delete both these folders if present (assuming default installation locations):
- C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\SteamApps\common\hearts of iron 3\map\cache
- C:\Users\YOUR-USERNAME\Documents\Paradox Interactive\Hearts of Iron III\map\cache
If still present.

No, CK2 have never run but HOI3 have run somethimes but with CTD and the launcher on steam appeared weird but not open the game. Ive only played HOI3 few times using the exe on folder but not shure if opening one exe i play the game with all the DLCs be cause i use for the mother land and most of the time CTD after a few minutes. Ising other exe doesnt work or i get funny colors on screen.

Ive done the instructions you told me a bunch of times for CK2 and never worked. What i havent done its the HOI3 instructions you told me but i will, thnks. Also i dont have any of those apps.
