CK2 Crashes when Start a Campaign

Greetings,

The game can be loaded past the launcher, and I can go into the screen where I can choose my character. However, it crashes when I start the campaign, every time.

I have spent about 2 days to figure out how to fix it but to no avail.

I have done the following:
1) Reinstalled.
2) Verify Game Cache (steam)
3) Install DirectX from the commonredist folder
4) Install the vcredist_x64 and x86
5) My GPU driver is up to date
6) Deleted CK2 folder in the documents
7) Not running any mod
8) Run in admin mode
9) I can run HOI4 and EU4 with no problem (As CK2 is running the same engine with HOI4 and EU4)

Please help, please. I have attached the files as mentioned in other posts.

Edit : I am running the latest patch 2.8.2.

I have attached some screenshots as well. As you can see, I can choose character and then when I click on start game. It will just CTD when loading game.

1) Did you get sure that everything was deleted or even the CK2 folder itself ?
The (Steam) automatic uninstallation process likes to leave files inside the CK2 folder, which then corrupt any new installation.

2) Did the game run earlier on this computer ?

1) I have uninstalled by using Steam, and then proceed to Steamapp=>common and delete CK2 folder.

2) Yes, the game run earlier on this computer. No new mods added.

You'd also have to delete the Documents/paradox/ck2/ folder, did you do that too?

Looks like you are running the game in a compatibility mode, please turn that off.

Edit that settings.txt to say:

refreshRate=60
fullScreen=yes
borderless=no

Driver Date/Size: 31/1/2018

Are you sure that AMD driver is up to date?

1) Yes I did deleted that.
2) Edited and still the same
3) Yes, I downloaded the AMD update from official site and let it express install the latest update.

That is odd, since it shows as April 30 here

Did you turn off that compatibility mode?

When I update the AMD graphic card, i updated to the recommended update, I guess that's why that version you are referring to is shown as optional.

Do you want me to get that optional update ?

May as well give it a try, can always go back if required.

Then delete the Documents/Paradox/CK2/gfx/ folder and let the game recreate it.

I assume 2.8.2.1 hasn’t helped?

I've found a solution. I tried reverting back to an older version, and then I revert back to the latest version.

Finally, I can play it again.
