Dear forum users,

I'm not sure if this is the right section to post this, if not, please excuse me.
My CK2 game crashes when i take part in a crusade.
I play as the Kingdom of Ireland, and when i've loaded my army on a fleet, the game crashes i'm near Greece.
My operating system is Windows 7 64 bits.

Kind regards,
prussianglory

Not a known problem, AFAIK. Is this just in this one saved game?

What version and checksum show on the main game menu?

It seems to be only this saved game. I started a new game to test it and i had no crashes.
I got v1.04c (CPGP) ( I got no idea where CPGP stands for xD)

CPGP doesn't really mean anything. Its just a checksum so you know that your game is installed properly. If it would be something else than CPGP while stating that the version is 1.04c would mean there is something wrong in the files.

Btw i buyed the game in the Steam store. Maybe there is an option to check if the game files are correct/valid?
Yes, in the Steam client right-click on CK2 and choose properties | local files | verify integrity of game cache .

Then maybe you've found a game bug. Zip your problem save game and upload it to any public file hosting site, and paste a link to it in here. Hopefully some kind soul will try it in their own installation and confirm the issue; if so start a fresh thread over in Bug Reports please.

If I click the blue 'Download' button, nothing happens. Sorry.
EDIT: Nevermind, it just took a long time to start the download.
EDIT2: Loaded the troops on the ship, and sent them off on the Crusade. They made it just fine. Though I suspect that the King of Ireland felt foolish when the 9000 man Shia army came to stomp his 3000 men.

So it seems the OP's problem is local to his machine, not a game issue per se. Try a full clean reinstall.

If this is Steam: uninstall the game from Steam and move any valued save games elsewhere. Manually delete the CK2 directories from under the Steam AND MyDocuments folders, now reinstall the game via Steam.

If GamersGate: Move valued save games elsewhere, and uninstall the game. Manually delete the CK2 directories from where GG put them and from MyDocuments. Reinstall the game , download 1.04c patch again and apply it.

Sorry for my late reaction.

I've removed all the folders and reinstalled the game, placed my ireland saves back in the saved games folder and took a look if it worked.

When i first ran the last saved game i got a message that the crusade was suddenly ended, and 5 seconds later the game crashed.
Then i restarted it, now when i load the saved game it crashes after 5 seconds.

But by this time you will be playing a 1.04 save under 1.05c, is that right? If a Crusade is under way it will probably be what's causing the crash. A new game will be OK; I hear if you cancel the Crusade under way you can probably continue with that old game though.

But a new game is OK, it's just this old one that crashes?

Not sure about the crusade thing now, your issue might be different than I was assuming. This is what I was referring to:
This is because the crusade is invalid as of 1.05.
To fix it, unpause the game for just a single day without hovering over the crusade flag. The crusade will then be called off and everything's back to normal.
