Hello,
After installing Holy Fury, logging in with my Paradox account in the launcher, and booting up CK2, I found that the game acted like I had never installed it before and presented me with "EULA", "privacy policy", "select your language", "learning scenario", and all the other stuff you see the very first time you install the game.
"Fine," I thought, "It's version 3.0, and this is the first time booting up the game on this new computer, I guess it's only reasonable that my savegames from old versions on my older computer wouldn't carry over, even if they were properly saved to the cloud." (Which I couldn't remember 100% anyway, since it's been several months since the last time I booted up the game on that previous computer.)
I played a couple dozen hours of Holy Fury and had a nice campaign going. Saved and quit several times over the past couple days and was able to resume with no issues. I had the "Save to cloud" button checked in the ingame settings.
I quit to desktop this morning and when I came back a few hours later.... CK2 once again was behaving like I had never played it before. Had to log into my Paradox Account in the launcher again, once again I had to click through "EULA", "privacy policy", "select your language", "learning scenario", etc. ....and wouldn't you know it, that in-progress campaign had completely disappeared. NO savegame files whatsoever, neither in my local savegame folder nor in the cloud savegame folder.
What could have caused this, and how do I keep it from happening again?
PS: I forgot the absolute worst part of all this: I'm going to have to click all my message settings, one by one, manually, to make them the way I like them. How is there not a set of buttons like "set all to popup and pause" yet??
