As you may know, current version of plus crashes on Macs.
The traces and exceptions generated are not really helpful, so we need to find the problematic file the old-fashioned way. Unfortunately, no one on the team has a Mac.
This is where you come in.

The goal is to find a file, or set of files that are causing the crash by a process of elimination.
You need to download the mod, run it. Verify that it crashes for you. (this is important, there may be people who are not getting a crash.)

Then, you will start by deleting CK2Plus mod files. I'll repeat, MOD files. You must not touch game files.
So, navigate to where Plus mod files are and delete these directories one by one. After each delete, start the game and see if that prevents the crash.

map/terrain
gfx/characters
gfx/event_pictures
gfx/flags
gfx/interface
gfx/loadingscreens
gfx/mapitems
gfx/models
gfx/new_coats_of_arms
gfx/new_decisions
gfx/new_events
gfx/new_gobernments
gfx/new_objectives
gfx/new_traits

If removing one of these directories helps, then restore all files, and try removing a subset of files/directories within the problematic directory.
E.g. if removing gfx/characters worked, then after restoring everything repeat the procedure from above with its subdirectories (in this case, societies, shared, and individual files)

Please post any findings here.

Thank you, and good luck!

The problem file seems to be gfx/loadingscreens/load_0.dds. I tested this on Linux rather than Mac because it crashes there just the same. Deleting the file makes the mod load up just fine.

Any chance you can try this version of load_0 to see if it resolves it? I saved it slightly differently
