Alright, so I'm having a similar issue to the guy in here earlier, where it says it can't find an output folder. I've moved my other mods to another folder (I didn't use any mods in the game) and it is still not working.

Here is my log.txt
Thanx, this should now be fixed, grab the latest build.

That worked, though there was an error with moving the file, so I copied it manually from the output file, and it worked perfectly.
Here is the log.txt if you want it

Onedrive folders are not reported as actual folders by windows and this confuses the converter. It's a known problem and relates to the OS unfortunately.

Sorry if this is a known issue, but it looks like the converter uses culture instead of your capital's location to determine what your starting fog of war should be. This is kind of a problem, as my Persian Mongols don't know what's directly off of their coast or on their borders despite settling there hundreds of years ago. Despite this, I know what Japan is. I don't think this was a problem with the newer versions of the original converter, but I'm not sure on that.

Tech group, not culture. Giving it to nomad_group would give vision from Iceland to Ghana to Yurchen tribes. This issue only affects Mongols, but I don't intend to fix it, as for a large mongol empire discovery of areas and thus vision would spread very quickly anyway.

Ok, but I'm getting a much larger view distance in the 1444 start, for whatever reason. No clue why really, but figured I should let you know as it seems unintended.

Whenever I try to start a converted game in EU4 I get a black loading screen and not responding, also there doesn't seem to be a way to roll back to 1.29 in EU4, at least its not an option on steam, any help is appreciated.

Roll back to 1.29? Unless you are living in the future and already playing on 1.30, there is no need to roll back to 1.29, it's the latest version.

As for the black screen issue, I'd need to see both your converter's log.txt and EU4's error.log, which you can find in your user's directory, under Documents\Europa Universalis IV\logs\error.log.

One thing I would like is for revolter tags/releasable nations to be more present. Like if I shattered all the empires to duchies (to get the tags) then rebuilt the empires, alternatively (and what might be easier) assign a tag to each culture so when there are revolts a plausible country pops out. I'm getting Aquitane popping out in Christian provinces in Mongolia for example!

Finally, thank you for your great work on these converters. it is very much appreciated.

Ooh, that's a tough one. In vic2 it's easier as culture conversion is less common and, ignoring the barffest that is expel minorities, we can reliably assign primary nation core for a culture (Swabia for swabian) and union tag as well (Germany for swabian). However, CK2 is assanine with culture conversion. You'll have irish in egypt, french in mongolia, mali in scandinavia and so on, and assigning background cores for these cultures is an excersise in futility. But, there is time, maybe we can get something working.

Yeah I realized that a few hours after my post lol, I was messing with it and for some reason putting EU4 into windowed fullscreen fixed it and now everything is working fine. idk why.

With the new pre-release, how does the converter handle modded buildings? Like I think it was mentioned how it takes the number of buildings in a barony and divide it or something? Would it just cause an issue of inflated development if there's more buildings?

Yes, it would. It takes 10 buildings to for a dev point, so if you inflate the numbers dev will be inflated. We really cannot make exceptions for this rare scenario. If you find it's unplayable, you can default to EU4 dev values as fallback.

Use Capet build.

Could you maybe fix some revolutionary flags? Some of them look bland or colours don't much. Some even are looking terribly unrealistic.
Just a thought. Only aesthetical improvement, nothing more. Not necessary needed, but certainly would be pleasing for eye :)

Fix them how? We use what data eu4 has and do not generate our own tricolors. If eu4 creates dull flags for countries without tricolors predefined, file a complaint in the bugs section. (I agree most of them are horrible, but EU4 engine generates them on the fly.)

Upload some screenshots so I can see what you mean exactly.

Ok I didn't know they are created on the fly. Thx for answer. Maybe they will fix them in EU V XD

hi first thing first this converter really great! the culture become more diverse like vanilla EU 4, i tried the Crusader Universalis bookmark and i see that technology wont progress at all until i assume normal 1444 bookmark is it intended? the thing is protestanism happen around 1420 in my game and now age of discovery will be gone without anyone leaving their continent
