We need Vic2 before CK2!

Hush, hush get away here ;)

Johan already made it clear a couple of times, that he will never make a game like Victoria again. He also seems very determind to make it clear that EUIII is not a game that resembles Victoria in any way (look in the developer diaries of EUIII), so the chance of Vic2 are even more remote then the chance for a CK2.

Yep, CK is my favorite Paradox game as well, by far. I know that there's only a slim hope for a CK2, but it's a hope I cherish. It's such a great game, with such glaring faults...with these faults fixed for CK2, it would be stellar. Ah, to dream.

yeah - I also think CK is a wonderful game but it could be so so much better if they could just weed out some of those glaringly irritating faults! could a patch fix it or is an overhaul needed?

there are so few good campaign level medieval games around - oh to dream...

I'd love to see what Paradox could accomplish with a CK2 possibly based around the EU3 engine.

Still, I can't thank enough everyone who has turned CK from an unplayable state to the highly enjoyable game it now is. Especially Johan who has put in his free time to code things and Mr. T who has spent an age fixing events etc.

Would be nice to see what the CK community could do with a sound platform to start from.

A CK2 would be amazing. I get wet dreams imagining how it would play with the new engine. Though, perhaps its scope is too narrow, only having dynastic states be playable.

i'm adding my voice to a CK2 drive. the main problem with ck was the relationship with snowball.. and to think Paradox had to code everythign from scratch and then the marvelous work from 1.0 to 1.05. i think there is a lot of potential here. potential to reach a wider gaming public. there are just so many sotires here of young women playing this... the revenues could be enormous and worth the effort if PE would dedicate themselves to a CK2.

CK2 could be to CK, what HoI2 was to HOI! a stellar success

CK2 would be great indeed! IMO CK is the best game by Paradox so far. In fact it was the first Paradox game that drew my attention to their games anyway although I heard about EU long before...after CK I tried EU2, etc...

But CK is something special....it's a jewel that should not be abandoned lightly. CK2 I dream. :D

Exactly, what you are saying is what I want to express.
CK is special and, again, CK2 please!

CK has been the only game in gaming history I know of which quite successfully simulates medieval feudalism. For that alone I cannot praise this game enough.

CK2 would definately make me rejoicing! :)

Does anyone know how well CK sold compared to other CK games? I suspect that this will have quite a large bearing on whether CK2 happens or not.

No idea but well below EUII and HOI I and II, I would say, problably even below Victoria. But that is just based on the numbers of post on the subforums.

I'd presume that the HoI series has this far been the biggest cash generator for Paradox.

If Victoria has sold more than Crusader kings, then people has a very bad taste. (no offence) Victoria is a game about a boring period, only WWI and the German unification is intresting. Plus, Victoria had no good manual and no tutorital.

Ck2 should have those improvements:

- Frome 970 - 1492.
- It should be able to play as Moslems and Pagans.
- Mutch more historical events.
- The feudal states under a large contry should have mutch lesser power, more power to the true rulers.
- Isometric 3D
- Exelent CK2-EU3 converter

Yes, luckily CK had an excellent manual and tutorial.

I find the Vicky period interesting to, but I just can't the hang of managing all those factories and products. If Vicky was a game that only focused on the military, diplomacy, colonisation and the basic of economy I would have played it more.

The current CK system, only historical at the start of a scenario after that everything is random, doesn't allow much historical events. Since most historical events have to do with what certain people did or did not do and since in CK those people never exist you can't have those events.

In don't know what you exactly mean by fuedal states under a big country, but f.e. the powerfull dukes in the Holy Roman Empire had lots of power and should definitely not have less power in CK2

I really don't care about 3D or a converter. :)

Looking at EU3 map, I'm feared by 3D.
To speak frankly, the map is very poor. :(
