CK3 - Consistent Stuttering Throughout Gameplay [LINUX]

Hi all,

I'm having some issues with CK3 on linux. I know the game just released, but I'm hoping to have some help here since its a pretty annoying issue.

Basically, every two seconds, my game will hang for one second, and then it will resume for two more seconds. I can't really provide screenshots since it's not a graphical issue.

Specs:
AMD Ryzen 7 2700X
Radeon 5700XT
AMDGPU Drivers

Error continues at any resolution & graphics setting. I am positive it isn't lag from graphics settings or poor hardware, as when it isn't stuck it runs beautifully.

it is the same issue i have right now. before i had some grafic issues and crashes i have fixed that issue but now it seems i got that hanging issue as a new extra :/

I made a quick fix. In short: write the byte 0xC3 (x86 ret) at ck3 executable file offset 0x20F069A.

The game plays just fine now but I would still like an explanation why this is happening

the short version being: run sudo chmod o-rx /dev/input/ to remove CK3's access to /dev/input. You can restore it back to the way it was with sudo chmod o+rx /dev/input/ afterward.

Your solution works perfectly! I would love to know why this is an issue at all, but having it fixed is enough for me now
