I have been attempting to play a run with POD installed, yet every time I run it on Steam, it crashes right after the music starts 3-5 minutes in. When playing via the paradox launcher, the game works but doesn't allow the mod to work. Do you have any solutions?

I assume POD is a mod. The game updated to 1.15 recently, so check that mod has also been updated to work with that patch.

Whether it has or hasn't though, please check with that mod's author in the Steam Workshop or our mods forum

Good luck!

I am somewhat fixed on the issue but now I am at the roadblock of the mod being version 1.15. in the paradox launcher, I am unsure which version that is as it goes from 1.6.1.2 to 1.6.1.1 and so on skipping 1.15. I am confused.

Both those 1.6 versions are VERY old - you seem to be confusing 1.6 with 1.16 which does not exist yet.

If you scroll down to the end of the betas list in Steam you'll see 1.14.3 which was the version previous to 1.15

So I ended up ditching paradox launcher because it seemed it was just stuck on a very outdated version and went to steam which is showing better results. However, I am still being met with constant crashing with only one entry into the game which ended with another crash after I selected a character. Crash logs are all identical:

As, you were running it in standalone mode! This game is no longer supported there, so indeed only old game versions and DLCs show there. I should have twigged to that from your mention of 1.6 I am sorry.

DXDIAG is a program you run from the Windows search box on the task bar. After running it will open a window and start collecting info with a progress bar in the lower-left corner. When it completes click the 'save all information' button and save it to a file then attach that file here.
IF dxdiag.txt fails to attach here, rename it to dxdiag.log , or zip it up.

Please attach here your Documents/Paradox Interactive/CK3/pdx_settings.txt .
From your Documents/Paradox Interactive/CK3/logs/ folder, attach here system.log , exceptions.txt
