Hello!
I recently posted a thread in the Steam forums, that my game is crashing after ~60 minutes and was redirected to this forum. :)

"
Hello everyone! As the title already says, my game is crashing after 30-60min with the response, ck3.exe is not working. I searched the internet and already tried the following things:

-starting ck.exe as admin in the CK3 folder
-updated Microsoft Visual C+++
-updated all my drivers and my operating system
-deactivated the ingame steam-overlay
-changed my ingame settings, deactivated shadows etc
-searched for any mods that make the game more stable, nothing found
-.I dont play with mods
-repaired my game via steam
-reinstalled CK 3 aswell

When I launch the game normal via steam, it crashes after 5-10min. I will write down my Pc specs aswell, but the curios thing is, it is not lagging or anything, the crash comes out of nowhere, what makes me wonder. My ingame settings are pretty normal, nothing ultra heavy.
Are you guys have any experience with this problem and were able to solve it?

I would be very happy about any help! Have a great week! :) -Visbee

When the game got crashed, I was always playing the same save, I was the emperor of the holy romanic empire, had 22k Gold, 50k troops and almost every part of europe. Now I created a new game, with a small start and the game runs smoother and doesn't crash anymore (think I had 1 crash after ~2 hours).
Might it be, that with the time when the empire, troops etc gets bigger CK 3 or even my computer can't handle the size of the current save anymore? It's weird, but my only explanation so far. I can share the save ofc, but I don't know how. :D The old save is not corrupted btw.

I currently play Ck3 via ck3.exe-> run as admin, because it crashed via launcher after ~30 min.

DXDIAG is a program you run from a command prompt or the Windows start menu 'run' dialog box (or 'search programs' in Windows 7 or later). After running it will open a window and start collecting info with a progress bar in the lower-left corner. When it completes click the 'save all information' button and save it to a file then attach that file here.

Please attach your Documents/Paradox/CK3/pdx_settings.txt .
From your Documents/Paradox/CK3/logs/ folder, attach system.log , error.log

Please report the temperatures of your CPU and video (GPU)
1/ before starting the game up and
2/ after say 10 minutes' play.
If your PC's vendor has given you no way of reading temperatures, install

Good evening! Sorry for the late response, I was very busy the last days. I attached everything you asked for and hope I didnt forget anything. :D Screen 3 is before starting the game, 4 after ~15 min. When I started a new game it was pretty smoother as mentioned above, but now it keeps crashing again. Dunno if it's the seize of the empire. Thank you for your help!

I think you can ignore those AUXTIN ones, but the GPU does have a problem.

Your settings should have capped the refreshRate/frame rate at 60, is that what you see with an fps counter?

If so your machine has a cooling problem. Clean out all air vents it has (compressed air cans are good for this). Make sure airflow to them is not blocked by anything like walls, books or whatever.
If that doesn't drop the temps enough, you probably have a faulty fan or a heatsink/thermal paste problem. You may need professional help at that point.
