CK3 - Initialization of the Game Failed

The launcher is not functioning

Description
When I launch the game via steam the launcher loads then opens saying "Initialization of the game failed. We're not sure why this happened, please check the logs or try reinstalling the game". I uninstalled and reinstalled the game, making sure to delete everything in the folder C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Crusader Kings III. I also uninstalled and reinstalled the launcher. The launcher works just fine if I launch the launcher not through steam. If possible I would like to find a solution that still lets me launch through steam.

1.14.2.2 (I think, I am on the modern version of the game)

I uninstalled and reinstalled the game, making sure to delete everything in the folder C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Crusader Kings III.

Did you also delete Documents/Paradox Interactive/Crusader Kings III/ folders , except for any valued save games?


Also, check that NONE these files are set to run as the Windows Admin user:

steam.exe
ck3.exe (in the Steam CK3/binaries folder)
dowser.exe (in the Steam CK3/launcher folder)
C:/users/{username}/AppData/Local/Programs/Paradox Interactive/launcher-v2.2025.2/paradox launcher.exe
C:/users/{username}/AppData/Local/Programs/Paradox Interactive/bootstrapper-v2.exe
