Erm, that's not true considering it literally says Intel Iris Pro graphics card is acceptable for minimum requirements
Oh yeah sorry my bad I kinda just assumed it wasn't,

Okay. 40 hours into this game. Played about 2 hours today and just came back to the game. I open it, and crashes on loading screen when it says "initializing" on top left corner of the loading screen. Very odd. The game worked perfectly.
I turned off antivirus, windows defender firewall windowed mode turned off steam overlay PC reboot reinstall game etc. Nothing works. Validate game file integrity. Still nothing. Tried sending crash report - that doesn't work either. Crash reporter says "Upload failed for an unknown reason. Please try again."
I don't use AVAST. I use Malwarebytes premium.
Windows 10 64 bit
16GB DDR4 RAM
Intel 3.5 GHz i5
GTX 1660S
Absolutely nothing has changed from between the time when I played it last, and when I attempted to play again. Thus not even system restore point was created.
Steam.pressing play OR resume from launcher, and the game starts, then crahses at loading screenDoes this happen if you try to start a new game rather than loading an existing save
are you laying on the pc game pass?
I will try that and let you guys know.ok i opend it fro the real game exe in steam\steamapps\common\Crusader Kings III\binaries and it worked for what ever reasion
I will try that and let you guys know.
Edit: Update. Launching game from exe file works. Starting game from launcher still crashes. Glad it's not my PC's issue.
No. Just launching from the launcher causes this problem, even if Steam was started as admin. What's more strange is that launching the game from .exe file directly works, but all my saves are gone aside from autosaves. I think that has to do with save files going to steam user data folder instead of documents folder (where autosaves go). Moving my main saves to documents folder, I was able to load them.Does running steam as an administrator help?
CK3 for me keeps crashing on the first loading screen. I do have avast which for some people is a problem but Avast said CK3 was trusted so it is not the problem. I am using the gamepass version. Here is the crash error log
[13:03:23][pdx_ugc.cpp:42]: No UGC backend available for current platform.
[13:03:26][virtualfilesystem_physfs.cpp:1539]: Could not open file: pdx_settings.txt, error: pdx_settings.txt permission denied
Did you look into the AV stuff mentioned above?I am also having this issue. I was able to play fine since last week, but tried to run it today and it crashes at "Initializing game" whether I run from the launcher, the .exe, resuming a save game or just hitting Play form the launcher. What the heck?
