Hi,

As my thread says, I am unable to run any mods, anything except vanilla game, and it takes good 4-5 minutes to boot up every time on vanilla, and crashing on any mod.
I tried reinstalling, adding exceptions to Windows Defender, unsubscribing from mods and subscribing, nothing worked unfortunately.
Mods I'm trying to run are up to date with game. Any help? I'll attach the files here. For some reason I can't attach error.log and dxdiag, and system.log says "empty".

That load time is normal for this game - it takes 7-10 minutes on my modest rig.

Is this literally any mod whatsoever, even say music or loading screen mods? Or only more significant ones?

Has this always been the case for you. or it was okay up to some point?

Oh okay, earlier it just seemed to me that it loaded faster, so that is good.
Earlier mods worked normally, if they are up to date and not interfering with each other they worked, but since 1.14.2. update no mods seem to work.
Yesterday after 20 times trying to load one singular mod which is not complete overhaul of the game, minor mod to add something in the game (20-30mb or so), it worked and I had to close the game for I had to go to work, but when I returned and tried to play it didn't work and I didn't touch anything, just tried to run it as I left it.

Sorry, a minor mod (all by itself) worked once but not when you tried to run the game again, is that right? If so I have no real idea what could cause that.

Please try the following:

  • unsubscribe from all mods in BOTH the Steam Workshop and the Paradox mod site mods.paradoxplaza.com
  • delete the folder Documents/Paradox Interactive/CK3/mod/
  • delete the file Documents/Paradox Interactive/CK3/mods_registry.json (if present)
  • delete the file Documents/Paradox Interactive/CK3/launcher-v2.sqlite (if present)
  • run the game up and check the launcher is okay with no mod or other errors
  • subscribe to ONE mod only
  • run the game up and see if that mod works
  • if so add ONE more mod and try again ... etc

I hope that does it for you!
