MRs were buggy as hell for years. Your entire MR could collapse because your successor held similar tier title in a different realm. I can understand why they are holding back. I hope they have ideas to give MRs a fresh feel in CK3.

Nomads as a player were fun but AI nomads were poorly implemented in CKII (like China). Russia never forms and become tengri in like 50 years from 769.

My only concern is the start date. My main fear is we'll be looking at 1000s again, and miss the pagan stuff. Crusader Kings 2 largely changed from "FIGHT IN THE CRUSADES" to "MAKE A WEIRD INCESTUAL DEVIL CULT IN LAPLAND, KIDNAP ROYALS, RAID AND PILLAGE ON THE HIGH SEAS"

From what I've heard we are getting an 867 start date, so there's that.

Is there any info about end date? Personally i will like later than in ck2

Why? In CKII at the 867 start date you had 586 years worth of gameplay.

Besides, 1453 is a perfectly fine end point for a Medieval era game.

1. Naval Combat
2. Wardrobe - Always wanted this in ck2 in addition to the barber, being able to change your tunic and crown for your characters.
3. The combat stances from Imperator to be implemented
4. Ideally I would love it if there were no desyncs in multiplayer. However, I would settle for a resync function.
5. I guess this would be a dlc wishlist item as I believe they already said it wont be in the game at launch. But having landless gameplay mechanics.

So the start of the Viking Age. That's not bad, Charlemagne kind of ruined Western Europe but the early start did make other areas fun, particularly Poland and Saxony.

I had fun in Charlemagne. I think they should include it again once they have proper feature sets to run that era. If they did that I would also like to see a rise of islam start date or a start date when you have the final Roman Sassanian war. Give me all 3 actually. Maybe most people won't like it but i'm all for as much start dates as possible or alternative starts like some mods like MEIOU has where you have a "pagan europe" option and all that. Instead of "weird funky animals" shit I would like more thinks historically and alt-history focused

I didn't start there all the time but did occasionally much like other start dates. 867 is when I typically started.

8k resolution native support and the ability of escalation to future technologies that break the 10k resolution.
It may sound delirious now, but at CK2 release nobody ever thought further than 1080p and now people with 4k resolution struggle to make it playable (until Pdox made it work)

Would also like to see a characters dynasty more clearly on the UI. Would also like holy orders to be improved.

I would like a system where you can tell a vassal count that he will receive a duchy provided he gives up any holdings and claims outside the duchy.
Ofc it should also apply to other tiers or forms of vassalage priest/burgher etc.

I would also like to generally be able to make suggestions and offers to vassals, distinct from making demands of them.

Being able to order one of my vassals to release another one of my vassals from the dungeon would also be nice.

1. Similar to others, have a better economic system. Make trade kind of dynamic in a way. Don't just have the silk road be the only place that's a major trade route. Maybe have trade be affected by development of a province. Have major trade routes change based on the development of an area. I can try to explain more, if people want.

2. My desires for religion appear as if they are already going to happen. I want to be able to play as a pagan, and reform, just like in Holy Fury. But, I want a deeper customization than just picking a few doctrines I like. And, don't let things like the revered traits of Ancestor worship be already predetermined. Have something like a list, and allow us to pick based off of a possible point system, or just an option when we choose the combinations. Of course each doctrine would provide a list of traits you could choose to honor, and you'd have to mix and match them. I don't want a defensive religion to honor cowardice.

Also, have the leader of the religion, if it's not the player, be someone who exemplifies the nature of the religion that you reformed. Like what the Pope is supposed to be. He's supposed to be the best Christian in the world. I understand that the person doesn't have to be literally perfect, but stop having pagan religious leaders be people who are honestly not fit to be in that position. And while we are at it, give us some kind of college of grand priests, for those pagans that choose Hierocratic, and Autocephalus. Let the players have more involvement in who leads their religion.

3. More ways to help your country prosper. Of course I want their to be more risk of disease, but I want something like a high risk high reward thing going on. With more ways to increase prosperity, there would obviously be higher risk of disease outbreak.

4. More ways to keep a kingdom stable, and more control over your vassal ability to declare war. I get so annoyed that vassals just go and declare on the whole world, without any consent from the king. Like, why would the king of England just let a duke declare war on Wales, if the King of England has a pact with the King of Wales. Have there be more ruler control over this, and have there be penalties for those vassals that choose to declare war without the kings consent.

5. Optimization. I really don't want to have to rely on arbitrary mechanics, like the Black Plague, to increase optimization of the game. I want to be able to go into the late game without having to worry about the game slowing to a crawl, and barely being able to do anything on the quickest speed available.

6. An online community that is actually welcoming, and let's people have fun. To me, the online communities of Stellaris, and HOI4, are completely ruined, because many of the people who play those games just play to run through the game as fast as they can. In Stellaris, there are literally made up peace timers, because if not, people will just exploit the game, and go on a conquering spree like 10 years into the game. In HOI4, it's just a bunch of 20 something dudes, who still act like low IQ teenagers, who scream and yell if you don't play Historical. You literally can't play as a minor in HOI4, because no one helps anymore. Everyone is just out to screw over everyone else, in both games, and it's honestly disgusting that the online communities got like this.

7. Keep the pre-game setup that they have for CK2, where you can change rules around. I like being able to make my games tailored to the way I want the game to be played. I like to be able to take things away from people, and make them work for things, instead of them just exploiting the game and getting whatever they want.

8. Minimal exploits. Why are these even a thing? As I mentioned in #6, this is a huge problem in some Paradox online communities. It's so bad that there are players who literally can't play without the exploits, and they refuse to actually play the game the way it's supposed to be played. It makes hosting games, at least for me, something not worth doing. I want to play games, like Stellaris, to the point of having megastructures, but I never can. This is because there's always someone who uses an untrackable exploit to get ahead very early in the game. They then ruin the game by either taking over everyone else, or flexing their power so that no one can say no to them. I'm not asking for every moment of every game to be completely balanced, but just minimization on the BS that other play can do.

9. A better education system. while the one we have now function well enough, I want to see there be more choices when educating a child. I want childhood traits to end after a series of decisions are made, which will ultimately end with the child getting a certain trait, and not having it just be a 50/50 gamble. Have genetic traits play more of a role in the child education.

10. The ability to get rid of any trait that isn't something outside of the realm of control. Also, make them more dynamic. Don't just have my character randomly lose the brave trait, but have him lose it by not participating in battles, and/or shying away from things. Don't just have have it be something that just goes away because you don,t want to duel someone. Have there be a series of events. Maybe something as simple as, "rumors of cowardice (low)". When it reaches high, have your character start to question who he is. Let him try to fight those rumors, and show his bravery, or accept the rumors, and embrace that he is a coward.

Also, don't have traits just be negative, or positive. Have them have an upside, or a downside.
