Right now the team takes in donations at:

https://www.paypal.com/donate/?toke...4QrXk-0d7r5Ju0_fbgGW&country.x=CA&locale.x=CA

However, they are not making enough money to support their efforts right now. That is part of the reason the compatch is taking so long. Vukica and the team all have jobs and lives and are unable to work on CKII+ full-time.

With more funding, it might be possible for a member of the team to go full-time. I'm not sure about their individual situations, but theoretically it could be possible.

So, paradox allows for donations, but would they allow for a Patreon? Patreon is superior to a simple paypal link as it should draw more support and also provide a monthly income for the team.

In any case, if you are frustrated with how long the compatch is taking, consider donating at least a few dollars and between all of us donating what we can, perhaps the team will be able to devote more time to CKII+

Even if you are happy waiting for the compatch, consider how many hours you've spent enjoying the teams work. How much have you paid them for it? Have you paid a fair amount? Those are questions that only you as an individual can answer honestly. I myself know I haven't donated nearly enough and will donate more when able. I've played probably 200-500 hours using the CKII+ mod. Even if I only paid 10 cents an hour, I should have donated at least $35 to them by now. But, again, that's only how I feel. You will have to make your own estimation.

I highly doubt any of them would want to quit their careers lol. being a mod dev isnt a dependable or livable wage.

but yeah, im definitely gonna donate a bit when the beta comes out.

We have a donate 'box' already. The primary reason we don't 'push' it as it were is exactly because funding is not, nor ever will be, the issue. This is a hobby for all of us first and foremost. The number of donations we've gotten since it has opened were small in total number, albeit some donations have been larger than other. Regardless though the total would only barely maybe even equate to a single day's wages for an established dev.

Could we get more? Probably, but that wouldn't change anything nor should people feel the need to do so. The option exists solely for those who really want to show their appreciation full on knowing that they're not getting anything else out of it. It's not an exchange for services and such but an appreciated token of gratitude.

The primary reason I still stick around is for that reason but I also work as an actual game developer. With my own game currently being in Early Access there is basically no way I'd be working on this right now. I imagine it is similar for the other devs in + as well, who are not game devs themselves, but are otherwise busy with their jobs.

PS If you want to help me and my game I won't say no of course, but I'm not using my position here as a platform to advertise for it. Feel free to PM if you really are that interested :)

You're making your own game? Let us know when/where it comes out, I'm happy to atleast buy it in support.

Oh fine, I'll put it in my signature at least but that's enough talk of that here ;)

Extra donations are not gonna make this go faster, I believe zeress' post says that too.
And yes, I am frustrated about how long this is taking.

@Had a dad

Can you close this please?
