I didn't see this on the bug list, so here it goes.
In a regularly occurring multiplayer game with my buddy, we have noticed that the computers begin to diverge in their display and use of titles.
Example 1: My buddy is Byzantium. I begin to make fun of him for losing a bishop as a vassal. He replies he doesn't know what I'm talking about, because he's fighting the Prince of Chaldea. Sure enough, since we are in the same room, we look at each other's screens. My computer (server) shows the Prince of Chaldea a part of the empire, but a tiny bishopric is independent. On his computer (client), the prince of Chaldea is independent, but the bishop is a part of the empire.
Example 2: On the server, the united kingdom of Seljuk Turks and Quarakinid displays the primary title of Suljuk Turks. On the client, it shows the Quarakinid.
Example 3: A message pops up on both computers that a new Papal Controller has been selected, and it is the player on the server. The server will now display the player as being Papal Controller. The client cannot see the Papal Controller cross on the portrait nor is there a Papal Controller listed when you look at the Pope's diplomatic screen.
What makes this really odd is that we're playing over a LAN. Slowing the game or pausing it does not cause it to "catch up". Only a save and a reload fixes the problem. Not surprisingly, the server's version of the game used upon loading.
Both computers are running 1.03b. This bug has occurred both early in a game (with less than 9 megs worth of data in a save game file) and late in a game (with over 30 megs in the save game file). I suspect, but cannot confirm, that this has caused some of our client-side crashes.
