Closed alpha/beta testing? Timeline?

I'm a massive fan of the Wargame series and also have a deep respect for Paradox Interactive. Needless to say this game became my most anticipated title the moment the announcement came out, quickly trumping my excitement for Tekken 7 coming to PC later this year aswell as the soon to launch Mass Effect: Andromeda.

I think its fairly natural for myself and others like me to want to see the games direction as early as possible and perhaps even take some small part in it. So I ask, might we see some form of closed public testing before release? Perhaps even an application process to take part in a focus group? Just how far along is this game already and whats the current timescale like?

P.S. I'd also like to say that Eugen Systems inspired me to pursue game design with their 'Wargame' series and that my current journey into the games industry (which I enjoy a lot more than my previous career path) is in part thanks to them. I look forward to seeing the results of your partnership.

A group of Eugen trusties, people who were selected by moderators and preorders all participated in the beta before launch, I was picked by a forum member to help test both ALB and Red Dragon.

Yeah, I've been in various focus groups myself both through advertised drives and private messages from forum moderators. They're the last line for testing between functional QA and the public at large. Question is though, do we still have a chance of getting an invite and how? Will there be a public drive or which forum do we have to show our dedication/interest on?

The large test is usually not long before release and aimed mostly at balance and bugs, if eugen does it like last time. So I wouldn't expect it to even start for a long time, they may also drop the trusties group all together.
