Closes when I try to save

As the title says, anytime I try to save a game, I recieve a message, "Cannot open savegamefile "blank", and then it closes.

EDIT: Using version 1.09 w/ Windows.

Has this always happened? If not, is it just in one particular game or it happens even in a newly started game?

What version of Windows (98/ME/2000/XP)?
Do you have a "scenarios\save games" folder?

I've fixed it, turns out I had no save file. I just created a folder to put save games in and works great now.
