You were talking about historical accuracy....I was just pointing out that nothing is completly historically accurate. All CoA's we have today are vague and proximatey examples. How will you draw eagle, lion or any other model in the CoA depends really on the artist who is drawing it.

I know, my bad, I picked the wrong words... :p

Still looks the best and was used in the CK period.

Yeah it's nice. :)

Yes thats just you. I on the other hand think these lions are the best looking models, including the eagle models as well made by the same man.

I'd like to pick the best lions, eagles etc from different sourceimages, a lion rampant and a eagle armed something like this:

holl.bmp
germ.bmp

The thing is they do not look the same....they are only standardized. Why do I always feel like pulling teeth when I debating with you...

I dunno, I get the same feeling. ;) :)

These don't look bad, but again I like these models better(made by Gratianus) ->
HOLL.bmp
GERM.bmp

Strange really. :p

In my opinion, this lion model is not fit with the CoA's of FINL, NORW, and the other lions which hold something like an axe, a sword, and a crosbow. The one reason why I choose that lion models in my CoA's is in this poit. In addition, the body, nails, and crown colours of them are easliy modified.

The body colours of the eagle you choose isn't suited to process. Because the colours are complicated. And your two models differ from the style of painting. It's lacking in the sense of unity.

EDIT: Are you remaking the all lions and eagles with that models? I think it's really hard work and better to use my model. It saves us alot of time. Since I've already made almost CoA's of the lions and eagles . ;) :D

Maybe we could talk about Lions and Eagles later ? Please Gratianus and BG could you make the CoA of Portugal with all the source images we've found so we can say which CoA is the best ?

EDIT: we also have to find a name for our project, sorry but I haven't got any proposal instead of "Grand CoA Update" or something like this :(

At once, I've made these portugal CoA's already.

EDIT: Should we decide which CoA is the best? Is there any room for alternatives? :)

good, but it will be better if the small castles would have fit the shield shape
For my shield shape? If so, all right. But if you talk about Birger's shield, I can not manage to do so. Because I can't imitate his curve line. :( To tell the truth, this is what I'm afraid. The same thing applies to county or duchy CoA's which I have made.

You're kidding right?! :D

EDIT:

So what alliance would this represent? ;)

Vere01.gif

No! this one is good since it isn't partitionned with different CoA as in the case of the Holstein/Schleswig.

Holstein should only use the red part otherwise it represent holstein/Schleswig.

Would you use this for France?
France_Ancien_Navarre.gif

It's historical but there is no point in using it since it represent a certain time in history when Louis X was also king of Navarra.

It's possible to use this one for England in EU2 because of the evolutive CoA systems of EU2 but it isn't the case of CK. (Quartered to represent the claim on the throne of France)

yes, I think we should make a plan if we want to finish this project one day. I think it was a good start to work first on the Kindoms CoA but maybe should we work kingdoms after kingdoms

A good idea. But I suggest once more that we should start from "conclusive CoA's". :p To make our start successful, it's better to sattle the easy problems.

excuse me but I don't undestand what means "conclusive" (really need to improve my english :D). Does it mean : CoA that are already done ?
Sorry for my terrible english. :D
It means the CoA's like AEGE, ABKH, AKAB, JERU, SMOL...etc, against which there is likely to be no objection. Of course the CoA's are already done, as you say.

I indict Mr.Gratianus in the Shield shapes poll.
He indiscriminately asked many Japanese to vote for him.
The people asked by him are voting for him, though they don't know CoA at all!

Sorry my broken English.
But I cannot disregard injustice.

?What?
I never ask anyone to vote my shape.
