Hi Guys,

Could someone please confirm if there is a difference in birthrate if I have 50 average comfort and 5 female and 5 male with average birthrate and if I have the same factors except the average comfort being 90?
I've made some tests but I cannot be sure if they were luck related or indeed higher comfort means higher birthrate? I am asking generally for the Last Ark challenge :).

The birthrate depends on the number of males/females who have enough comfort to form fertile couples. Higher average comfort means that larger portion of the population is willing to have children, but it doesn't influence the rate at which they produce children.

There is no higher chance, your colonists just need to have the minimum Comfort for wanting children. Note that the average still could be high overall but some individuals may be below the minimum and if they are from the same sex, birthrates could skew down.

e.g. in a 15 person colony 4/5 women don't want children but all 10 men want children
just like IRL
